If you all haven’t read Carroll Bryant’s hilarious new post, BookLikes Supports Bullying; CEO Unprofessional, you should.  In it, he makes a very good observation:

Carroll2

Considering that this is more than likely Dawid’s strategy, we decided to do a little research into the traffic stats of both sites to see exactly how the “mass exodus” of trolls from Goodreads to BookLikes has affected both sites.  Not surprisingly, it hasn’t even put a dent in Goodreads.  Now, remember what PG said in his post:

PG

PG is right.  We know many of you don’t need to see proof, but we’ll show you what we found on anyway:

Now, compare this with Alexa’s BookLikes stats page:

Hmm… big difference there.

So, Dawid, if you plan on building up your new book review site, you’re going to have to take PG’s advice and do a lot more than kiss up to cyber bullies.  You might try focusing on developing some killer app that will draw people in, because we’re certain the bullies won’t be able to do it for you.  If anything, they will scare people away.
