Number 9 of our Carpet Bombers Series.

We were just recently tipped off by a blog reader:

To this ridiculous article in the Washington post:

Aw, what nice bullshit the WP has to say about Nenia.  Good thing we have the facts, because now, we’re going to tell you the truth about this “no. 1 reviewer”.

First of all, she considers herself a “Proud Member of the Meanie Brigade”:

NeniaProfile

Second, back in the heyday of bullies, when they were allowed to roam free and wreak havoc on authors and other readers on Goodreads, Nenia was one the leaders and moderators of the Badly Behaving Authors group.  This was a group of GR trolls who relished in unleashing organized attacks on authors and readers they considered to be “badly behaving”.  In September of 2013, this group was hidden from public view when Goodreads announced their new anti-bullying policy which stated that GR members could no longer talk about author behavior in reviews and shelves.  If they did, those reviews and shelves would be removed.  In other words, author-bashing was no longer going to be tolerated on the site.

And how did Nenia react?

Well… first she flipped off Goodreads:

Then, she threatened to one-star books written by authors she assumed were behind our site (even though we have stated time and again that we ARE NOT authors) if her stgrb-supporter shelf was removed:

And guess what happened?

Yep, that’s right.  Her shelf was removed:

WTF

And of course, she made good on her threat and went on a carpet-bombing spree.  At the time, we managed to get a few screenshots.  Notice some of the author-bashing shelves on the left-hand side:

When she threw a tantrum and protested to GR, she got thoroughly spanked:

So, despite what is said about her in the WP article, this is the real Nenia.  A vicious cyber-bully who carpet bombs other authors’ books without reading them either because she doesn’t like the author or she is protesting a policy change on Goodreads.  If she really does consider reviewing to be her job, then we’d have to say she isn’t doing an honest job, nor does she act much like a professional.

Nenia Campbell, no. 1 professional Goodreads reviewer?

No.

Nenia Campbell, no. 1 unprofessional Goodreads bully?

Yes.

Sarah Daltry Returns

Surprise!  Surprise!  Guess who’s back.  In less than 20 days of privatizing her blog and “disappearing”, Sarah Daltry, who proclaimed (falsely) that she was “shutting down” because she had been so badly bullied, is back writing books and keeping her social media updated.  That didn’t take long!

She even opened a on April 23rd:

Are we surprised?

Let me think about that.  Uh… no.  No, we’re not surprised.  Not at all.  We called this back in our post, Sarah Daltry Cries Bully, when we first noticed her scheming shenanigans:

Uh, okay… *sigh*  If you haven’t figured it out by now, this is bullshit, everyone.  There was no suicidal person who messaged her.  No one called her an attention-seeking whore.   No one has bullied her and we can guarantee that she never had any intention of shutting down her books or her social media.  We know this for a fact because people have seen this author, under other names, do this before.  Her next move will be to suddenly reappear and tell everyone that she has reconsidered and will continue writing and publishing for public consumption because all of the encouraging messages from readers have changed her mind.

Don’t be fooled by this.

Also, several people have had experience with this author in other social media before this whole episode and have told us about it.  All we want to say to our readers regarding this is that whenever someone solicits funds online, be it in the form of cash, services or donations, exercise EXTREME caution.  There is NO reason someone should be asking you for money online, unless you are making a legitimate purchase.

Now, why are we telling you about this?

Because we’ve seen other authors cry bully before.  Last year, author Jac Wright attempted this by emailing us and claiming that he was the next Lauren P.  When we checked out Jac’s books, there was NO sign of bullying whatsoever.  Then, he confided in one of our blog readers that he was doing it to garner publicity to sell his books.  When authors do this, they are abusing people’s sympathy and trust.  They are crying wolf or more appropriately “crying bully” when the bullies have never touched them.  This is incredibly unfair to those authors who have actually been bullied and whenever we see an author abusing people’s trust like this, we WILL call them out.

And we have called out Sarah.

Please, DO NOT feel to sorry for her.  She is not a victim.

Honestly, we’re glad that she’s writing and publishing.  What we don’t like is her crying bully and abusing people’s sympathy and trust.  We want our readers to be aware that she does this for publicity, not because she has genuinely been bullied.

Bully Hypocrisy

We received a couple comments just recently on our blog we thought deserved a mention:

SomeGuyAnonyMe

What cartoon are they talking about? This one:

ToTheDoor

We have to agree with Some Guy and Anony Me. They hit the nail right on the head.

Today we are sharing with you a very sad story.  Unfortunately, it’s a story we’ve seen before and it is something that happens when bullies take their bullying too far.  It’s about a boy in Ireland who committed suicide after being bombarded with abusive messages from online cyber-bullies.  After his death, his mother urged these sites to provide the police with the identities of the abusers so they could be held accountable for their actions.

Because we’ve seen this before, we urge all parents who have teenagers to keep watch over what is happening in their social media accounts.  Please don’t let your child become a victim of online abuse.
