A blog reader just recently reminded us of a carpet bomber we haven’t yet featured in our Carpet Bombers series. That would be :
Notice a familiar evil queen among her friends?
You will remember Khanh. She was one of Evil Queen Shelby’s flying monkeys in our four part series, Once Upon a Time in the Land of BookLikes, who dropped her one-star carpet bomb on author Gavin Hetherington’s book when Shelby threw a fit and sent her court of trolls after him. Khanh is also currently flouting Goodreads anti-bullying policy with her “asshat” shelf upon which she just recently placed a book by an author she and her friends are targeting:
In addition, she has literally . She clocks in at a whopping 387 one-star ratings:
We managed to get a few screenshots and what we’ve managed to record is far from exhaustive. Khanh is an extremely prolific one-star carpet-bomber:
Khanh Destroyer of Dreams is a fitting name for her. We’ll say again what we’ve said before. STAY AWAY from people like this! Whenever you see a name that suggests that someone is a bully, turn around, run, and don’t look back. And definitely give this bully a wide berth.

Good work, STGRB! Another troll to warn the world about. I’ve read some of this chick’s profanity-laced “reviews” before and was so turned off by her immaturity, her illiteracy, her low-class way of commenting on a book, and her obvious low intelligence and inability to read well. She’s someone you can’t even take seriously, except that her carpet-bombing tactics should be on full display to the world because they ruin the integrity of Goodreads and give legitimate reviewers a bad name. She’s a typical amateur who confuses outright nastiness and bullying with cute “snarkiness.” A dime a dozen, these types. I’m glad that this blog is getting so much traffic so that people in the book reading community can see the laughable, amateur “reviewers” in the community for what they are, and avoid them like the plague.
You are so right. Have you seen her latest review on GR? She can’t write a sentence without using swear words. Sure sign of someone who A.) Doesn’t have a wide grasp of the English language and so therefore reverts to foul language to express herself B.) Shows her class or lack thereof C.) Thinks she’s cool but is really showing herself to be an ignoramus D.) Thinks she actually saying something about books when she is actually saying something about herself. E.) Is showing her lack of education which makes it impossible to take her reviews seriously F.) Has no concept or care for how she presents herself to the world.
The Internet is forever, and the reputation you create now will be the one you’re stuck with always. This Vietnamese “Khanh” is giving her family, community, and legitimate book reviewers a very bad name. Shame on her.
“Whenever you see a name that suggests that someone is a bully, turn around, run, and don’t look back. And definitely give this bully a wide berth.”
So true!! But it’s even harder to figure out the subtle bullies without the obvious names, like Fuzzy Meadows, Sirius, and so many others that fly just shy of the radar and bully from the bottom…so to speak
How in the world can these people live with themselves? Destroyer of Dreams? What a piece of work. Some day she’ll learn that karma does sneak up on those who deserve it in the end. The coldness in her eyes is a reflection of her dark soul…
So true, Reader. She truly does look like a soulless person. What do you expect from someone whose legacy is to spew hate under the guise of so-called “book reviews?”
Lack of conscience and dehumanizing others.
In just a couple of decades, this woman will end up bitter and alone.
Probably before that.
Good gravy, not this nut. I think she’s had a difficult childhood, which apparently she thinks gives her a free pass to piss on authors. One of those who considers life unfair and is fully prepared to take it out on others who have it “better” than she does. The problem is these people can’t control their own lives, so they try to control others in vicious ways. It’s the only time they feel better about themselves.
I go back and forth between pitying Khanh and being angry with her, same as a few of the other bullies. Better to just mentally block these nuts, or else you risk becoming as crazy as they are.
I forgot to mention that I’ve had a difficult childhood too, but I don’t spew hundreds and hundreds of fake 1 stars on authors’ works as a form of therapy. I see a psychiatrist for that.
There are other options, besides showing what a complete ass you are all over the internet.
It’s just like Ridley. She’s bitter and angry that she’s handicapped, but instead of using her pain for good and to make the world a better place, she just creates more pain and heartache. That’s her legacy. Same with Khanh’s.
Did you see? Khanh posted that she’s writing a book. Typical wanna-be, jealous aspiring author who cuts others down because she, herself, can’t do what others are doing. Isn’t it so cliche? I can’t wait until she comes out with a book (if ever). I’ll be waiting eagerly to review it. *gleefully rubs hands together*
Any person who proudly advertises to the world that she’s a “Destroyer of Dreams” is someone who needs mental help.
I encourage everyone to report this piece of work to Goodreads. Just look at all those carpet-bombing one stars, just so this little troll can get her jollies. Her behavior, and that of her ilk, completely undermines the credibility of the book reviewing community.

Did you guys see Khanh’s attempt at writing? A “parody” with themes of pedophilia. Just…WOW. Goes to show the mentality of this one. And she considers herself an arbiter of taste? I’ll say it again. Just…WOW.
I skimmed it and it’s well written, I hate to admit [well, I think it’s well-written]. Goes to show she truly does read a LOT, unlike most of her bully friends. I don’t like the woman, but I think if she published this, it would end up a best seller.
I know she says she never wants to be an author and the whole story’s a joke, but she should really think about publishing it. If she becomes successful, she might leave authors the hell alone.
Then maybe she’d get a taste of her own medicine and see what it feels like to be targeted by trolls who one-star her books and rip her writing to shreds just for kicks. I bet she wouldn’t like it too much.
I disagree. I read it and think it smacks of “amateur book reviewer pretending to be an author parodying an author.” It read like an amateur wanabe. I would never spend money on that drivel, parody or not.
=( I really dislike when people do things like this. It totally messes with the integrity of the craft. If I MUST write a bad review, I do my best to identify what I didn’t like just to provide feedback for the author. Sometimes writers may not know how their words are being received and they may learn from the bad review to evaluate other works. I hate writing bad reviews and I don’t write them unless there is a serious problem.
