We wanted to post a quick update before our next story. We’ve received a few emails asking us why we removed our posts on Parogar. The reason is because he made a really good decision and apologized for what he did. He also apologized to the innocent people who were caught in the crossfire.
First, he apologized to Anne Rice:
Then to Melissa Douthit:
And finally, he apologized to the person who deserved it the most. The original author who was bullied on Wattpad. We were able to confirm all of this with everyone involved. We’ve also learned through some solid evidence that Parogar was being counseled by some anonymous emailers who were telling him what he needed to do in order to help his friend, Avery, (i.e. threaten people, carpet-bomb, etc.). It was exactly the WRONG advice and we have a pretty good idea who those anonymous emailers were. We can’t say that following their advice was a good decision, but he’s given a sincere apology to everyone and moved on.
Good for you, Kevin!
P.S. In closing, we’d like to add that Kevin still denies having carpet-bombed anyone’s books and on this account, we will give him the benefit of the doubt, especially given our new knowledge of the anonymous emails he received.

Gotta love a guy who sees the light. Considering how devious some people can be, I buy that he might have been misled to do the wrong thing. It’s easy to make bad choices in peer pressure. I cheer anyone who fesses up to their mistakes.
Wow, some good news for a change! Congrats, Kevin!
I have to say, I’m a REALLY big fan of Kevin’s work. I’ve read all of his stuff on Wattpad, and sometimes I get in on his crazy antics (Eastern Balgonia will always triumph!), but I disapproved of this. I felt like he was making rash decisions and wasn’t really looking at the big picture. My respect for him has increased greatly knowing that he had the courage to admit his mistakes and face the consequences of his actions. I’m really glad that all of this has calmed down.
This is one of the reasons I love this site so much. It’s extremely fair.
I wish Kevin the best of luck with everything. Spread love, not hate! It’s the best way.
It’s about time Melissa was vindicated. I’ve always felt bad for her. Through everything, she’s taken the high road through all of the accusations and hate directed her way. I’ve communicated with the owners of the site, and I can tell you unequivocally that I believe none of them to be Melissa. It’s a shame that an innocent person has been demonized that way just because she follows this site (as we all do). If anyone has been unfairly bullied, it’s Melissa. I’m glad Kevin was able to see the truth about this situation.
Awesome!! Good for him!!
This is great. Good man Parogar, you did the right thing. Big respect to you! I’ve heard you are a great author, I look forward to reading your books. I’m so glad this had such a good outcome.
Great news! 😀
This truly is great news! Nice to know some stories can be resolved without things getting too bad. Heads up Paro! And you guys, by taking the time to resolve it too! Keep up the good work!
This is a lesson for us all. There are real people with real feelings behind these computers. Real, live, breathing human beings. I just wish the bullies (BBA Whisperer, I’m talking to you) would realize that. So many authors have been harmed and hurt by the GR bullies. I truly think some of the bullies are sociopaths without conscience. Luckily, Kevin has a conscience and realized what he was doing was wrong. I just hope more people have the courage to do what he did. Kudos to him.
I’ll have even more respect for him when he gets the one-star bully reviews on Melissa’s books removed. That was a horrible, unfair thing that the bullies did…but then again, that’s why this site exists in the first place!
Obviously, Kevin is a very passionate person and was taken advantage of by some ruthless people that hate this site and will do whatever they have to in order to shut it down (along with the truth – who the REAL victims are). Glad to hear that his head is now in the right place, for all involved (including Kevin who who has also been victimized by that unholy Whisperer site).
If this individual has truly turned over a new leaf, that’s a good thing. However, it still bothers me, whether he’s sincere or not, that this publicity stunt has served to garner him attention. It’s a slap in the face to all authors who try hard to maintain a respectful and professional attitude throughout our careers.
Very true, but Kevin is still a young man and he’s learning. We’re just glad that he’s a big enough person to admit his mistakes.
I don’t know that the attention he has garnered helped sales, which is what really matters. Contrary to what the trolls say, authors don’t ‘behave badly’ to get more publicity. Those that do are usually disappointed. You’ll also notice that the ones that kiss up to the bullies haven’t seen their sales take off as as a result.
The trolls who are authors do behave badly to get publicity. Remember the Sarah D. case? Regular minion trolls are one thing, but nothing stings my senses worse than authors who perform such antics, especially those bent on harming another author’s career. Apology or not, there was harm done. A victim felt the need to actually delete her FB, Goodreads, and Wattpad accounts because of this behavior. I hope for his own good, he is sincere and will focus on his writing and the positive aspects of life. But, what’s done is done, and I’m not ready to sing Kumbayah with him or any of the others who have participated in hurting other authors.
It’s perfectly alight to feel that way. You are entitled to your own opinion and feelings. But just so you know, in Kevin’s case, he wasn’t looking for publicity. Although ill-advised, he was honestly trying to help a friend. Kevin does have many fans and followers, so he’s not concerned about garnering more attention. If he had been, he wouldn’t have left that one comment on our blog under the fake name of Warning. We were the ones who found out who he was and told everyone. We were the ones who chose to make it public. Not him. This was no publicity stunt on his part. Our blog is not about condemning someone for their wrongs to others no matter what. It’s about stopping bullying. So when someone comes to us in contrition and says they’re sorry and they really mean it, we listen and forgive. If they don’t, then our posts about them remain.
It’s good that you have that philosophy. I would expect nothing less from STGRB. However, I hope people remain wary when it comes to those involved. To quote Dr. Phil, “The best indicator of future behavior is past behavior.” Forgive and move forward, but don’t let your guard down.
That is a healthy philosophy to have.
