This just in. Another bully was banned from Goodreads.
Each time we hear of a bully being banned, we will report it to let our readers know that GR is slowly getting safer. It hasn’t yet met our standards for author-friendliness, but it’s getting closer.
LMAO. Scarlet is totally clueless if she believes she was terminated for placing a book on her “nope” shelf? If that was the case, TinaNicole would have been terminated months ago for putting my books on her “wouldnt-pee-on-it-if-it-was-on-fire” shelf along with Scarlet who put my books on her “nope” shelf with her cutsie “nope” .gif.
GR terminates lots of people without warning or reason. They terminated my non-fiction author profile when they took down my fiction author profile when I was having a dispute with their Librarian corps over links to my fiction titles website because their “Get a copy” button doesn’t work, even for Amazon at times. They even terminated my wife’s long standing account with no warning or reason when they figured she was related to me.
That’s reassuring! Though I’m wondering if it’s already trade author safe, and less so self-pub author safe. Like usually when I hear about bullied authors, it’s those who self-publish their work and not those who trade publish.:/
Which is looking to be my only option, at this point.
And do they really care if an author has an opinion they don’t like, or is it they like to pretend they care to bully those beginning to publish?
Either way, happy day.
I’ll be frank, they should feel lucky they even have booklikes. If booklikes were the book logger I was hopping, what I would have is a quieter less bully centric place to review book. And actually review the book.
For the record: she has now changed her name to Scarlet Aingeal, probably in the hopes of not being associated with the subject of this post. Here is the link in case she changes again:
Thank you for reporting when bullies are banned on Goodreads. I wish you had bannings to report from Amazon.
Thank you, Anne. We do, too!
I am counting the days for when bully Shelby gets kicked off. Oh, what a sweet, sweet day that will be.
