Apparently, Amazon is cracking down on the discussion forums and its problem with troll infestation. If you go to any discussion forum you will see this at the bottom of the page:
And how do the trolls feel about this?
Not too happy.
We take this as a good omen. This is a step in the right direction, to a forum-free, and thus troll-free, Amazon.

Hey maybe they wont move their reviews onto games now for writers who move on from writing to games on Amazon.
I hope this path toward a troll free zones continues.
I’ve been avoiding the Forums entirely for some time now, but did check in to see what was up with this, and I did not see any difference in my screen and the options presented to me. But I do hope that indeed something is up and maybe Amazon might consider making some major changes with the Forums. So many are hurt in the Forums. So many… They can be such a toxic place for an Amazon customer who does not know what to expect…. I can only imagine how many complaints Amazon must get every day as to the ignoring of the guidelines, and the abuse of the voting feature.
Was a little worried site was down for a sec, I was getting an error establishing connection.
Any who, I checked myself. Yes indeed they have disabled active discussions. I’m still a little iffy buying stuff, but if I can shake it off I might buy stuff again.
I’m surprised there aren’t any active discussions by the bullies about it on Twitter. I hope it’s because they turned to common sense than ignoring it until or boils over.
I haven’t been on Booklikes, so I have no idea of some of the negative nancys are talking about it on there. (Private books isn’t enough of a bonus for me to consider going back there.)
LOL!! IT’S ABOUT TIME AMAZON! is all I an say. Finally moving a foot in the right direction. Long overdue, but still, better late than never. Amazon was turning into a bully jungle there for a while. Thankful they’re showing some class and decency and working on their problems finally.
Amazon is also cracking down on reviewers who ‘wash’ their reviews (delete and then repost so as to get rid of unhelpful votes)
